The island of Hvar is the queen of the Croatian Dalmatian islands and it has been famous since the antique because of its important strategic and nautical position, the rich of the various historical periods, the culture and natural monuments and the literature. Thanks to the mild climate, the warm winters and pleasant summers Hvar receives many guests, scientists and travellers, who are attracted by the dense Mediterranean landscape, rich tradition and architecture, and nightlife.

There are vast fields of lavender, ancient olive trees and vineyards, in immaculate harmony between man and nature. There are wine and olives, so guests who are wishing to harmonize nature will stop at a small inn (Hvar "konoba") rather than a top quality restaurant. He will taste real home-made wine instead of some famous sparkling wine and forget the monotony of the everyday routine.

Whatever you are looking for on your vacation, you may find it here; night life and cultural attractions of cosmopolitan Hvar town, boat excursions to Pakleni Islands, sandy beaches near Jelsa,  the ancient town Stari Grad in which past centuries mingle with modern tourist facilities, heavenly beaches under pine trees in Zavala or the "little Venice" ambient in Vrboska, drive trough and sense lavander fields near Zastrazisce, Gdinj and Bogomolje, peaceful secluded bays near Sucuraj ... or visit other interesting places on Hvar ,such as Brusje, Velo Grablje, Milna.

there are many other destinations for a day excursion.

In addition to the obligatory fish-picnic and island-tours, we recommend the following excursions to you:

Visit the island of Brac and the town of Bol with its famous beach "the Golden Horn", excursion-boats leave from the town of Jelsa, every morning 9.00 a.m. ( retour 5.00 p.m Uhr ) at a price of 50 Kuna.

From the town of Hvar, SemMarina offers this tour every Thursday and Friday at a price of 150.00 Kunas.

Sem Marina also takes you at reasonable prices for a day-trip to the neighbouring islands of Korcula or Vis. It is worth a trip.

Travel agencies, such as Atlas or Pelegrini and others, are offering day-excursions to Dubrovnik at a price of around 100 Euros.





Or take things in your own hands and take the regular ferry boat that leaves from Hvar in the morning, and return to Stari Grad the next day by regular ferry. There are many possibilites to stay overnight in Dubrovnik at a reasonable price, even in high-season.

A day-trip to the city of Split should be on your schedule. Visiting the huge market and the old town, you will gather fascinating impressions of the Mediterranean life in this pulsating town.
